State Museum Lecture Series
Event Details: State Museum Lecture Series – Circling Alaska and Yukon Featured in the March 2011 National Geographic magazine, accomplished adventure athlete Andrew Skurka shares his epic 4700-mile, 6-month trip through the wildernesses of Alaska and Canada. Skurka will present the journey’s most powerful stories and entertaining moments, complemented by stunning photos and emotional videos. He also will reflect on the broader significance of this experience and of his other adventures – which cumulatively measure 30,000+ miles – with particular attention to setting goals, stepping outside comfort zones, and seizing life’s opportunities.
